Looks like the Mango harvest is very good this year. Many varieties are available in the market and people are spoilt with choices. Apart from simply taking bites of ripe mangoes fruit, there are number of other ways to eat them.. Here I am sharing my favorite dish, maavina hannu seekarni (Mango Rasayana).
Seekarni (Rasayana)
This is a Mango season speciality. Very simple to make
Ingredients
- Mango – 2 medium size
- Banana – 4 small
- Milk – boiled and cooled – 2 glasses
- Sugar or Jaggery – 2 tbsp
- Cardamom – 2
Cooking Steps
- Boil and cool milk
- Peel Mango and cut into small cubes
- Peel Banana and cut into small pieces
- Add Mango, Banana, Sugar, Cardamom to Milk and stir
- Dish ready to eat
- Serve with Neer dose, Puri, Holige etc
